960,785. Endless conveyers. BETEILIGUNGS-UND PATENTVERWALTUNGSGESELLSCHAFT G.m.b.H. Sept. 3, 1962 [July 11, 1962], No. 33718/62. Heading B8A. A device for setting down or picking up material in a storage yard comprises an endless belt 1 running over a belt loop carrier 11 which may be raised or lowered about a joint 10 by a lifting tackle 12: a drum 8 of a jib belt 9 being displaced to allow this operation. With the belt 1 travelling in the direction of the dotted arrows, the loop carrier 11 in the raised (dotted) position and the jib belt 9 in the extended (dotted) position material is fed to storage past a bucket wheel 14. In the full line position, with the belts 1 and 9 reversed, material is picked up by the bucket wheel 14 and is taken away by the belt 1. A C-shaped superstructure 5 carries the jib belt 9 on a base 3 and is pivoted about a vertical axis 6 so that by raising and lowering the jib 4, swivelling the superstructure 5 and moving the base 3 all points of the storage yard may be reached.
