1,236,247. Gantry cranes. MAVOR & COULSON Ltd. 26 Sept., 1969 [7 Oct., 1968], No. 47516/68. Heading B8B. Apparatus for unloading ships comprises a tower 1 supporting a gantry 2. The gantry 2 has a lower trolley track with rails 5 and an upper track with rails 6. At the ends of the gantry 2 lifts 2A, 2B are provided to enable three trolleys 7, 8, 9 to circulate from one track to the other. Each trolley is controlled by an operator in a cab 11 and has lifting and lowering gear including a grab 10.
