515,136. Conveyers; piling material in bulk. MACHIN, W. A., and LANE, F. Feb. 27, 1939, No. 6350. [Classes 78 (i) and 78 (iv)] A conveyer system for use in the construction of embankments comprises an endless conveyer a, Fig. 1, which rests on the slope of the embankment b and carries a lateral conveyer e<2> for distributing the refuse by gravitation in a relatively wide track. The conveyer d is fed by a rotary tippler d and shoot c, and discharges to the conveyer e<2> over an adjustable triangular deflector g, Fig. 3, which can be moved longitudinally and rotated about a vertical axis..The conveyer e<2> is longitudinally adjustable in its framework. The forward extremity of the conveyer a is supported in a protruding position with respect to the top of .the embankment by a braced structure e, e<1>. The conveyer e' may be replaced by one or more adjustable shoots.
