Directing and adjustably supporting endlessbelt conveyers; feeding-devices.-A portable conveyer for transferring material from a heap to a railway wagon, barge, &c., comprises an endless belt conveyer A mounted on a wheeled framework 2 and an endless belt conveyer A<1> which has guide-wheels 4, runners or slides working on the framework of the lower conveyer. The conveyer A<1> is held in any position by a rope 7 connected to winding-mechanism 8, and is lowered periodically so that its lower end is always in contact with the heap of material.
