Conveying and elevating apparatus; staiths and elevated structures. - The loading conveyers or shoots in the apparatus of the parent Specification are replaced by elevators 8, 9 extending to or above the level of the conveyer 4 on the travelling structure 1, so that the material can be raised and delivered by way of the conveyer 4 and the transporter 5. A roller guide 15 for the material may be provided between the members 4, 5. When the elevator extends only to the level of the conveyer 4, as shown in plan at 17, Fig. 8, the material is led to the conveyer 4 over a roller guide 18.
