Abstract

915,508. Endless conveyers; roller conveyers; load-handling machines. LLOYD & CO. Ltd., F. H. Jan. 4, 1961 [Jan. 7, 1960], No. 582/60. Classes 78 (1) and 78 (3). A carriage 10, with a load-supporting surface comprising freely-rotatable rollers 14, is provided with wheels 13 running on rails 12 which are mounted on hydraulic rams 18, 19 whereby the rails may be tilted to cause the carriage to run from one end of the rails to the other under the influence of gravity. The rams may be actuated together to raise or lower the rails. The rails are provided with a pair of guide rollers 20 which run along guides 21. It is stated in the Provisional Specification that the rollers 14 may be replaced by an endless belt.
