322,486. Midland Railway-Carriage &. Wagon Co., Ltd., and Champeney, C. C. Aug. 3, 1928. Folding seats; adjustments; seats combined with shelves.-In a folding chair of the kind comprising, at each side, a parallelogrammic framework, of which the front members b extends downwardly to form a leg and the rear member b<1> extends upwardly to form a back-rest, the diagonal strut c is hinged to the front upper corner of the parallelogram, has an adjustable pin and multiple notch connection p, n at its middle with the lower member a<1>, and a lower extension forming a rearward leg. The seating surface f may be carried by the upper members a of the parallelograms, and a shelf g by the lower members a<1>.
