683,556. Seats. CHADWICK, E. E.. April 3, 1951 [May 23, 1950], No. 12860/50. Class 52(ii) A chair. &c. is provided with displaceable arm rests adapted to be moved to a position which is clear of the occupant's arms. As shown the arm rests 9 are pivoted to the back rest by a transverse member 10 and, towards the front have pivoted thereto, at 12, struts 11 the lower ends of which are interconnected by a transverse member 8 adapted to slide in guides formed by spacing a pair of rails 7 from the bottom of the seat. The out-ofuse position of the arm rests 9 is shown in chain lines.
