Cables, arrangement and disposition of parts of; cables with heat dissipating means.-In order to increase the thermal conductance of the protective layers, viz. the outer and inner servings of jute, of a lead covered cable, fillers comprising metal wires, shaped wires, metal strips, metal bands or foil are interspersed in the jute servings. With cables of the type having a triangular lead sheath, the fillers in the outer jute serving may be arranged over the lead sheath so that the armouring of the cable will be of circular crosssection.
