[Class 36.] Insulated conductors 1 are covered by a metal armouring ribbon 2 which is bent in a cold condition, round the conductors so that the joining edges form an up standing flange 4. The ribbon edges are spot - welded. The flange 4 may, after welding, be bent dowr against the cable periphery.
