[Class 36] [Also in Group V] An electric cable comprises one or more wires 1 embedded in a strip 2 which is twisted about its longitudinal axis and enclosed in an outer sheath 4. The material for the strip may be a rubber-wax mixture, such as that known under the Registered Trade Mark " Pernax " or manufactured as set out in Specification 24590/01, [Class 70]. The sheath 4 may be of metal or of insulation.
