Insulating coverings for cables and conductors. - A flexible insulating covering for telephone conductors &c. comprises a paper-thin guttapercha band 4 over which is placed the outer covering 5, 6. The band 4 is wound in steep overlapping spirals on the stranded conductor 2 which is wound with a cotton spiral 3. A layer of thin paper may reinforce the band 4.
