Insulating-coverings for cables and conductors. -The insulation for electric cables comprises a layer of gutta-percha and a layer of a plastic material of lower conductance. In the preferred arrangement, the plastic material is balata and is disposed between two layers 12, 14 of guttapercha, as shown in Fig. 1.
