Abstract

725,624. Cables. BRITISH INSULATED CALLENDER'S CABLES, Ltd. June 21, 1954 [June 22, 1953], No. 17241/53. Class 36. A cable comprising one or more plastic-insulated cores 1 is provided with a sheath 3 of similar plastic material, the inner surface of the sheath being formed with inwardly projecting shallow thin ribs 4 so that the sheath and the insulation 2 are in engagement along substantially line contacts. This reduces adhesion between the insulation and sheath, facilitating removal of the sheath and increasing the flexibility of the cable.
