[Class 36] An electric conductor 1 has a covering 3 of rubber or the like over which is applied a lacquered glass braid 5, the shape of the crosssection of the exterior of the covering 3 being substantially elliptical and the ratio of the major to the minor axis of the ellipse being between 1.3 and 1.9. An ozone resisting layer 2 consisting of neoprene compound may be applied between the conductor 1 and the covering 3.
