[Class 36] A spacing-member of an airspace cable comprises two radially slotted discs 3, 4 of insulating material, e.g. mica, assembled together on the central conductor 1 so that the planes of the discs intersect, the central conductor passing through the slots at the centre of each disc. The discs 3, 4 may be elliptical, the outer tube 2, of metal or insulating material, being circular in cross-section.
