Abstract

424,979. Cables. NORDDEUTSCHE SEEKABELWERKE AKT.-GES.,Nordenham, Oldenburg, Germany. Sept. 12, 1933, No. 25250. Convention date, Feb. 4. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, April 25, 1934.] [Class 36] To reduce losses in a high frequency cable of the air-spaced coaxial conductor type, the conductors are separated from each other either by spaced polystyrol discs which are threaded over the inner conductor or by a ribbon of polystyrol which is wound on edge and with a long pitch around the inner conductor. TheFigureshows coaxial conductors 1, 3 spaced apart by polystyrol discs 2 having perforations 10. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 states that the perforations 10 may be so arranged that any radial line on the disc 2 must traverse at least one of the perforations. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
