[Class 36.] The conductor of a submarine cable for high frequency operation, comprises a solid or stranded central wire of non-magnetic conductive material having high tensile strength comparable with steel, e.g. aluminium, or beryllium-copper, alloys, and a conductive outer layer of copper to carry the signalling current.
