Cores for cables; cables, arrangement and disposition of parts of.-A multicore cable for heavy currents is formed of intertwisted cores each provided with a metal covering, the individual conductors each consisting of a. single solid wire of over 10 square m.m. cross-section. In the embodiment, a three-core cable comprises solid conductors 1 having insulated coverings 2 and lead coverings 3. The spaces between the cores are filled with jute 4, and the whole cable is surrounded by armouring 5 and an outer jute. covering 6.
