Abstract

1310956 Electric heaters ISOPAD Ltd 24 June 1971 [24 June 1970] 30652/70 Heading H5H An electric heater comprises an element 11 mounted on a flexible metal carrier 10 by clamping stripes 12 passing transversely over the element and secured to the carrier each strip crossing and clamping the element at a number of points across the carrier. The clamping strips 12 are preferably of the same metal as the carrier, which may be of a flexible mesh sheet. In Fig. 5, the mineral insulated heating element 11 has aluminium foil 16 placed over it followed by a layer of thermal insulation 17 and an outer sheath 18 of sheet metal so as to form a heating jacket.
