Variable-speed epicyclic gearing. - A motordriven mining-machine has feed-driving mechanism driven from the motor and including variablespeed planetary gearing comprising a sun-wheel 145 driven by the gear 47 and engaging planet wheels 142 meshing with a brake-controlled internal gear 144, while planet wheels 141, integral with the planet wheels 142, engage an internal gear 140; clutch teeth, 51, 52, rigidly connected to the sun wheel 145 and internal gear 140 respectively, are selectively connected through a clutch sleeve 60 to the gear 63 so as to give a high or low speed drive respectively to the latter.
