Abstract
278,638. Hessen-Nassauische Handels-Genossenschaft E. Ges., and Gerlach, A. June 28, 1927. Ventilators.-A ventilator for stables and the like consists of a frame a which is built into an aperture in a wall and is divided by a partition d so as to present an upper outlet b and a lower inlet c, and a wind-shield f is provided in front of the outlet opening b. The shield f, Fig. 2, is composed of angularly disposed plates, which are arranged to provide a horizontal air passage e and one or more upward passages e<1>. The partition d may be curved outwardly and corrugated so as to form vertical channels for leading back to the stable some of the air passing through the outlet b. In the modification shown in Fig. 7. the partition is made of two vertical plates h, and air passing over the upper inclined edges g of such plates is adapted to be mixed with incoming air in the channels k, which may be protected by inclined apertured plates m. Lattice-work l may be fitted to the frame a.
