Abstract

405,785. Louvre ventilators. HUGHES, B. D., 8, Charing Cross Road, London. Dec. 29, 1932, No. 36750. [Class 137.] A ventilator comprises a number of integral or separate fixed louvres having arms 1 which baffle the air which flows through apertures 3 in shorter arms 2. The ventilator may be built up of sheets of wood or metal or cast as a whole, and may be enclosed in a box frame 5. A wire gauze screen may be fitted to the back of the apparatus or, as shown, a hit and miss ventilator 9 operated by a handle 10 may be fitted. Pads of filtering material saturated with disinfectant may be placed between the louvre arms.
