Abstract

Electric radiators. - A flicker effect is produced in imitation fires by means of one or more suspended reflecting elements 14 consisting of a continuous strip of conical-spiral or helical form. In the fire shown, the elements are arranged in front of a lamp 15, and are rotated bv the hot air from an electrical heating- device 11, arranged in a shield 6 lined with fireproof material 7 and having a grated front 10, the air passing through a short tube 12 below each element. The rotating elements may be of domed, arcuate, V- shaped, or other section adapted to disperse the light rays, and may be eccentrically mounted.
