Abstract

256,783. Berry, H. H. Aug. 7, 1925. Electric radiators.-An electric imitation fire comprises a resistance heating element e, a reflector f, and a sheet of thin metal c adapted to reflect daylight and artificial light so as to simulate burning fuel, the sheet c or a screen b in front of it being coloured. The screen may be of coloured glass, the edges of the sheet c being bent over the edges of the screen as in Fig. 1. The sheet c may be of aluminium and is preferably crinkled. A plate h protects the sheet from the heating element. Lamps with or without flicker producing devices and additional reflectors may be employed if desired.
