Abstract

322,688. Berry, H. H. Jan. 24, 1929. Imitation fires.-In electric imitation fires in which. a source of flickering light illuminates imitation fuel and produces a flame effect on a reflector above and behind the " fuel," a coloured screen is employed adjacent the reflector which imparts a blue colouration to parts of the light passing through it, and the usual reddish-amber effects to other parts of the light. The screen shown comprises a sheet of plain glass with portions 6, 10 which are coloured respectively blue and amber, below which is mounted a sheet of rough-surfaced glass 9. Alternatively pieces of blue and amber glass may be cemented to the sheet 9, or held between it and a sheet of plain glass, or held between two pieces of plain glass adjacent the sheet 9.
