Computing-apparatus.- A price-indicating balance comprises a balance n having a pointer z and scale s of weights in combination with a variable price scale r which is projected on to the scale s in proximity to the pointer z. The price scale comprises a rotatable disc r bearing a number of scales p. In a modification, the scales r and s and pointer z are in the same relative positions but the scales are viewed through a magnifying device instead of scale p being projected. In a further modification only one price scale is projected, the amount of magnification being varied to give various price scale readings adjacent the scale s. If desired the price and weight scales may both be projected.
