Abstract

232,383. Gristwood, F. March 5, 1924. Slide-rules.-A slide-rule of disc form for effecting calculations concerning amounts, weights, and prices of different sizes of paper comprises a central disc a and two smaller discs b, c with two interposed pointers l, m. Disc a bears on one side a scale e of weights, and on the other a scale of weights and percentages. The disc b is graduated with a simple logarithmic scale and has arrows n<1>, n<2>, spaced from the index arrow n, to facilitate determinations of weights of different numbers of sheets. Disc c is graduated with two scales of monetary values and has a radial slot l co-operating with circular scales on the disc a to show equivalent, prices per lb., cwt., and ton.
