Abstract

284,445. Black, J. Dec. 28, 1926. Slide-rules for calculations relating to weights &c. of paper. The scales A and D on the rule and the scale B on the slide read from left to right but the scale C on the slide reads reversely and the graduations are such that in the normal position of the slide the " demy " length and width divisions of scales C and D coincide and the graduations of the other scales are also coincident. Cursors F mounted in a groove E are graduated for reams having numbers of sheetsvarying from the standard of 480.
