Plane-trigonometry calculators.-A graduated circular disc q, having double graduations and a compass card engraved on it, is provided with two distance-rulers r, s pivoted on the centre of the disc. To a slide z on the ruler s is pivoted a slotted ruler t engaging a pin 3 on the slide y of the ruler r. The rulers r, s can be set at any desired angle and distances, or velocities can be set out by the slides y, z, the resultant position of the ruler t and the position of the pin 1 indicating the resolved direction and velocity. This direction is directly read off by means of a rod u connected by parallel links 4, 5 to the rod t.
