Abstract

559,636. Rulers. BACKHOUSE, H. T. Nov. 13, 1942, No. 16103. [Class 97 (iii)] To facilitate drawing parallel lines with a T-square a ruler or scale 5 is secured parallel to the edge of the drawing board which ruler is provided with notches, lugs, tongues, &c. for locating the edge 12 of the T-square 11. As shown, notches 6 are provided in which notches the point of a pencil 10 &c. may be located to form a stop for the edge 12 of the T-square. In Fig. 2 spnng tongues 13 serve to act as stops for the T-square which in movement in one direction will depress and pass over the tongues. The ruler 5 is held in place by drawing pins 9.
