Abstract

587,346. Drawing instruments. FAIREY AVIATION CO., Ltd., ATKINSON, P., and FRANCIS, C. W. Oct. 18, 1945, No. 27389. [Class 97 (iii)] An instrument for drawing lines parallel to a template 23 or other guiding edge comprises a carrier 10 with guide rollers or the like 12, a base-plate 13 slidably mounted in the carrier 10 and spring-urged at 21 so that one end'projects outwards into contact with the template 23, and a carrier 14 mounted in a slide 17 on the base-plate 13 and adapted to be clamped, as at 18, with a pencil 15 carried thereon at any desired distance from the outer end of the plate 13. The slide 17 may be pivoted to the base-plate 13 at 20, leaf springs being provided to urge the pencil 15 into contact with the drawing surface. Specification 584,805 is referred to.
