658,358. Drawing-appliances. BERGER, F. May 17, 1949, No. 13094. Convention date, May 18, 1948. [Class 97 (iii)] A protractor 12 mounted for movement parallel to itself on rollers 1, 2 on a shaft 3 journalled in a bearing member 4 is provided with means 9 for holding a pen or pencil. Preferably the shaft 3 is parallel to the straightedge 11 of the protractor and the holding means 9 are mounted on the bearing member 4 so that the point of the pen is located over the centre of the straight-edge 11. The holding means may be provided with a plurality of holes to receive pens of different shapes and sizes and a second holding means may be provided on the rear edge of the bearing member. In this case the protractor is graduated on both sides and may swivel on the shaft so that it may be located under the second holding means. The shaft and rollers may be located within the semi-circular periphery of the protractor.
