Loose-weight apparatus.-A modification of the semi-automatic weighing-apparatus claimed in the parent Specification comprises a number of weights adapted to be put into and out of operation by manually-operated mechanism, an indicator member indicating the number of weights or units of weight acting on the balance and a movable masking slide co-operating with sets of stationary fractional-weight graduations, the indicator member and the masking slide being controlled by the manually-operated mechanism. The above-described arrangement may be modified by replacing the movable masking slide by a fixed masking plate and placing the fractionalweight graduations upon a movable member. The indicating means may be repeated on opposite sides of the apparatus.
