Abstract

202,481. Automatic Scale Co., Ltd., and Goulding, W. G. July 12, 1922. Computing-apparatus; pendulum-weight apparatus. - In a weighing scale of the kind described in Specification 6285/06, the pendulum is arranged above and at right-angles to the parallel-motion stays which are coupled to the tops of the check arms. The goods and weights plates are connected by the check arms 5 to the parallel-motion stays 4, and the pendulum 3 which is actuated from one of the check arms by a flexible band 6 is arranged above and at right-angles to the stays 4. The customers' chart 12 is carried on a strip 13 secured to the scale housing. The chart 12 and also the weight and price indicator 15 are illuminated by an electric lamp 14 which is automatically switched on by the descent of the goods plate.
