Abstract

182,929. Marks, E. C. R., (Toledo Scale Co.). April 13, 1921. Computing-apparatus.-The cylindrical chart of a weighing-scale is provided with an opening or window formed by a gap in a plate, extending obliquely outwards from the gap to the sides of the casing. The oblique plates 20, Figs. 2 and 4, closely approach the periphery of the cylinder 17 at the gap, and may be secured in position by flanges secured to the casing 19. Electric lamps 21 may be mounted in the casing above the plates, which reflect the light towards the weight indications on the cylindrical chart. A switch of known type is employed to switch on the lamps only when a weighing operation is in progress.
