Abstract
504,171. Indicating-apparatus. FIDES GES. FUR DIE VERWALTUNG UND VERWERTUNG VON GEWERBLICHEN SCHUTZRECHTEN. Aug. 24, 1938, No. 24940. Convention date, Aug. 26, 1937. [Class 106 (iv)] In an indicating device, particularly for quantity meters, with two measurement ranges of which the smaller range comprises further subdivisions of the units of the larger range, the quantity scale 2 of the large range has an adjacent price scale 3 which is indicated simultaneously with the scale 2 and only a part of the smaller measurement range is arranged to indicate intermediate values. Indications on the scale of the smaller range are effected by a disc bearing pointers 4 and 5 equal in number to the units of the larger range embraced by the smaller range. The length of the smaller range scale is generally equivalent to a unit of the larger range and this arrangement ensures that there is always a pointer effecting an indication on the scale. The price scale may be mounted on an interchangeable disc or ring or the scales 2 and 3 may be mounted on a disc which masks ,the required part of the smaller range.
