Abstract

519,346. Indicating-apparatus. KOLLSMAN, P. Oct. 14, 1938, No. 29790. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, April 15, 1939.] [Class 106 (iv)] [Also in Group XX] A single pointer 13 is arranged to move over a fixed dial 12 and a reference member comprising two parallel lines 14, 15, is adjustable to any desired reading on the dial and indicates maintenance of a predetermined indication by parallelism with the pointer. The wires 14, 15 are carried by a ring 16 which carries an index 42 and external teeth co-operating with a pinion 19 attached to an adjuster knob 18. The invention may be applied to an aeronautical compass. Specifications 339,768, [Class 97 (ii)], and 496,216, [Group XX], are referred to.
