[Class 97 (iii)] In a gyroscopic artificial horizon for aircraft the indications of the movable horizon bar 5 are read in conjunction with an adjustable miniature airplane or the like 6 supported at its ends by the arms 10, 11 of a yoke which may be adjusted vertically by means of a knob 15, for example through pin-and-slot mechanism actuated by gearing. To enable the movements of the horizon bar to be more readily gauged, the miniature plane 6 bears equidistant enlarged portions 7, 8, 9.
