555,434. Dial indicators. OLDAK, F. May 8, 1942, No. 6263. [Classes 106 (ii) and 106 (iv)] The plunger 5 of a dial-type indicator has an inclined surface on its end for engaging with a pin 8 projecting radially from a member of a gear train to the pointer 3. The inclined surface may be plane as in Fig. 1, curved or hemispherical as in Fig. 5. The plunger may be perpendicular to the casing or horizontal.
