Abstract
259,696. Winser, A. L. July 28, 1925. Locks, revolving-barrel; keyhole escutcheons; latches, lift; latches, swinging.-A pivoted latch is blocked by a cam actuated through the connector-bar of a revolving-barrel lock with axial pintumblers passing through a fixed plate and abutting on a spring-pressed plate. The cam E either blocks the latch directly, Fig. 2, or operates a blocking member such as Q, Fig. 8, and is turned by the connector-bar, J, Fig. 1, of a revolving-barrel D to which it is connected by a spindle I. The barrel is locked by pins B, C passing through a fixed plate F and abutting on a sliding plate H pressed towards the barrel D by a spring G. A key A aligns the breaks in the pins with the surface of the fixed plate so that the barrel can be turned. The escutcheon plate K is formed with the same number of slots as there are operating-pins on the key.
