Abstract
255,421. Damler-Motoren-Ges. July 20, 1925. [Convention date]. Axles and axle structures; torque and thrust extensions of axle structures.-In a vehicle having two or more driving axles the transmission shaft o be tween two axles, the driving gear b, c, and the differential gear c for one axle h are mounted in a casing i, k so as to form a unit independent of the axle h. The casing i, k is in two parts and is detachablv secured to the axle. The shaft o drives the next axle through a universal joint q and a propeller shaft, and the thrust from this axle is transmitted throught a ball joint s and a casing r to the axle h.
