Cam and lever-actuated pumps; stroke, varying.-The fuel pump 95 of an internal combustion engine has its piston rod 93 bent at 300 to engage a slot 301 in a lever 65 pivoted at 306 and rocked by means of a cam 63 bearing against a roller 309. The cam may be shifted along the shaft 53 by means described in Specification 231,326 so as to bring various profiles into contact with the roller 309 to vary the timing and stroke of the pump.
