Abstract

236,053. Coleman, A. B. July 21, 1924. Plates, securing tubes to.- A pipe joint for use in connecting to tanks, cylinders, &c., e.g. as described in Specification 101,689, comprises a short tube 8 with diametrically opposite flanges 8<a> on its inner end and a recess 8d in one side to allow the end of the tube to be inserted in the aperture in the tank &c. A tight joint is secured by packing 9, coned ring 10, and nut 11.
