Abstract

237,822. Huyghe, A. B. F. Feb. 18, 1925. Walls, securing pipes to.-The, connecting element in the joint between a water-pipe and a hot-water cylinder or tank &c. is constituted by a flange B, Figs. 1 and 2, formed by pressing the body or end plate in such a manner as to form a raised collar A<1>, and the internal tubular projection B, the bore of which may or may not be threaded. In the embodiment shown in Fig. 2, in which the connection is between a bung and a barrel, the projection B has two diametrically opposite inturned lips H. and the bung has two out-turned inclined lips L which, when pressed through the gaps between the lips H and rotated, draw the bung tightly on the seat.
