353,374. Jointing tubes to plates &c. AITON & CO., Ltd. and AITON, J. A., Stores Road, Derby. Jan. 16, 1931, No. 1555. [Class 99 (i).] A tube is secured to a plate, tank, or main pipe A by screwing it into or otherwise securing it to a nut or collar D inside the main, the tube C and nut being welded to the main at E, F. The tube mav be welded to the nut at G. In modification the main has an internal boss into which the tube is screwed, and the hole in the main is counterbored to receive welding material. The end of the tube may be welded to the boss.
