[Class 46] [Also in Group XXVIII] A vessel 1 containing granular or like filtering or water-softening material is formed with an opening 5 fitted with a bush 13 through which extends a flanged tubular fitment 7. One end of a tube 12 is soldered to the fitment, the other end being provided with a filter 17. The fitment 7, which is secured to the bush 13 by a lock-nut 14, is connected to an outlet pipe 9 by a union nut 15. The container 1 is also provided with a pipe 11 connected by a fitment 6 to an inlet pipe 8 which is connected to a flexible hose 10 adapted for attachment to a water tap.
