Abstract

A container in which there is a reserve of air and which holds a filtering sachet filled with soluble material, is used to introduce a solution of the material into a line conveying another liquid. The elongated tubular container clamps on to the main pipe line and is fitted at the top with a screwed plug which holds the sachet and has a bleeder screw allowing the liquid to reach the sachet. Below it has a shut-off valve and a drain cock so that the sachet can be replaced. The device is applicable to a wide range of purposes from irrigation to sterilisation, as well as in the medical, pharmaceutical, industrial and domestic spheres.
