Abstract
809,277. Pipe joints. MEGATOR PUMPS & COMPRESSORS Ltd., and McCOMBIE, F. W. Sept. 30, 1957 [Oct. 17, 1956], No. 31637/56. Class 99(1). [Also in Group I] A tube 7, preferably of metal and having swivellably mounted upon it a strainer (not shown) intended to float in water (see Group I), is formed with two series of holes 29, a suction hose 28 being held in position on the tube by two contractible metal clips 30, each encircling the hose and lying directly over one of the series of holes 29 for the purpose of forcing the hose material slightly into the holes to provide an effective grip.
