Abstract
235,553. British Thomson-Houston Co. Ltd., (Assignees of Warner, J. C.). June 16, 1924, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Vacuum tubes. - In a valve having a space-charge grid, a direct connection forming a part of the valve is made between the grid and anode. A four-electrode valve may thus be used with an ordinary four-pin cap. As shown, a cathode 1 is surrounded in turn by a space-charge grid 4, a control grid 3, and an anode 2, and a resistance 8 mounted in the bulb is connected between the space charge grid and the anode. When a direct connection, without the resistance, is made between the grid 4 and anode, the valve is designed so that the current to the grid 4 is small, and of constant value.
